This time around, your antivirus will only scan files that have been added or modified since the previous scan. Luckily, this scan won’t take as long as the first scan. Once this is done, it’s a good idea to scan your PC a second time - just in case any malware has replicated. This is to stop any malware booted into Windows memory from running. However, if your second opinion antivirus found malware on your device, restart your PC once the full disk scan is finished.
